Raina, originally known in the "Shotgun Litter" litter of 5 boys and 2 girl as Beretta, was named Singing In The Rain because of her happy go lucky nature and as a tribute to her like gentle-natured great grandmother,  Raisa. When Raina's littermates had gone home, Raina found herself reassigned to the pen with Kes' younger litter - Anise (now Ptorrie) was an alpha girl in Kes' litter, and Ptorrie mad it known that she was not too fond of Raina the intruder, but Raina quickly demonstrated her gentle and sweet nature. She played gently and  "mothered" the younger pups, and she and Ptorrie soon became fast friends. Raina is a very busy girl, fun to live with and a dynamo in the field - she has become one of Bruce's favorite hunting companions.
