Ptorrie was a member of the Kes-Boo "Louis litter" named after Kentucky wildflowers, and was known in her litter of 6 girls and 2 boys as Anise. When she decided to stay, we changed her name to Ptorrie (for Redtailed Raptor), keeping the bird of prey theme alive (her mom is Kestrel and her granddad is Pfalcon). Ptorrie was an alpha pup in her litter, small but spunky, with very pretty movement. She is incredibly smart, too smart sometimes for her own good, and this is a girl who knows what she wants and how to get it! She is an "in charge" kind of girl, but will turn on a dime when her name is called. Very, very loving! As she matured, she became less alpha and more of a cuddler. She has a lot of style in the field, coupled with a lot of biddability. She did not really like showing, and was known to give a lot of our friends who handled her a hard time - and frequently her handlers would get educated by the judges for having made less than a perfect presentation of this lovely bitch!  She is a very nice hunting companion for Bruce, a beautiful producer and a delight to live with in every way!
