Martina was one of four girls and two boys in the songster litter named after well-known singers, her namesake being Martina McBride. We added another puppy to our family, after having finally completed the trials of raising two-year old Brookman, because Brookman needed a playmate! our next youngest is eight years old. The call name has special tribute to both of our moms within the name, and we thought that using a Martina McBride song as her registered name was very fitting under the circumstances. Martina presents her challenges (she loves to rip up fabric and is a megadigger), but she is nowhere near as difficult to raise as Brookman was (the difference being her mama is more easygoing).  Martina is very sweet, surprisingly obedient, brings a lot of laughter into the house, and Brookman is exhausted but thrilled to  have a baby sister.
